Do you want to use images inside Excel cells to make your workbooks look better? Do you want the image to automatically adapt its size to the cell it is in?
Follow these steps! 👇👇👇
1. Select the cell where you want to insert your image and click Insert > Pictures > Place in Cell :
2. Choose where you will insert the image …
This device: to select a file from your computer
Stock Images: To use images from Microsoft 365 (may require paid subscription)
Online Images: To insert images from the Bing Images search engine
…and then choose the image to insert by double-clicking on it, or click on the image and then on the "Insert" button.
3. Edit the cell format to make the image look neat (for example, center it and adjust the row height ):
Done! You can now take advantage of this to insert images into the cells of your Excel workbooks.
One of the great advantages of inserting images inside cells is that they move with the cell: for example, if you copy and paste the cell, the image will do so as well. In addition, it will adapt to the size of the cell so as to never go beyond the edges.
Additional pro tip! You can select multiple images at once and they will be inserted one below the other in consecutive rows.
