Did you know that you can put "traffic light" icons inside Excel cells that change color depending on the cell value? It's very simple and I show you how to do it step by step below. 👇👇👇
Select the cells with the values (e.g. the "Grade" column) and click Home > Conditional Formatting > Icon Sets > Select the icons you like :
2. Decide the values for which each icon is displayed by clicking Conditional Formatting > Manage Rules > Edit Rule... :
3. Select the Value and Type for each icon . In this example, I decided to put a green circle for notes greater than or equal to 7, a yellow triangle for notes between 4 and 7, and a red diamond for notes less than 4:
4. Click OK, then OK again, and that's it! You've successfully placed icons in your cells.

Try changing the cell values and see how the icons change. Also, experiment with the different types of icons that exist and you will be able to radically improve the visualization of your tables and dashboards.
